A: Connects two VNets so resources communicate via private IP addresses. Can be regional or global.

Q: Are NSG rules stateful or stateless?

A: Stateful. If inbound traffic is allowed, the return outbound traffic is automatically allowed.

Q: What is a service endpoint?

A: Extends VNet private address space identity to Azure services, routing traffic through the Azure backbone.

Q: What is the difference between Application Gateway and Load Balancer?

A: Application Gateway is Layer 7 (HTTP/HTTPS) with URL-based routing and WAF. Load Balancer is Layer 4 (TCP/UDP).

Q: What does ExpressRoute provide?

A: A private, dedicated connection from on-premises to Azure that does not traverse the public internet.
